They call her the angel
The one with all the pain inside
She takes on their pain
So it has no where left to hide
When they ask of her sorrow
She tries to let it slide
Because she’s come here for them
So they can push their pain aside
They can live on happily
Not knowing the nights she’s cried
So they call her their angel
She’s the one holding all their pain inside
The Angel
March 15th, 2009 by KatanyaReflections
March 15th, 2009 by KatanyaI return to you this day;
This day, this year, as so many before it.
It takes the strength you forgot,
To get me through this day.
Everywhere I look, I see your face;
In the visions of other people’s eyes as I stand before them.
Next to the bed is your picture,
Where I see myself instead of your face.
When your life ended, mine began.
Your body slipped by, but not your soul.
The problems you had ended that day,
And ever since then, mine began.
As I look in this mirror I see our reflection,
For you were born again through me.
The day will come when I shall meet my end,
And as my child stands by that lake, they shall see our reflection.
Past, Present And Future
March 15th, 2009 by KatanyaFor those of us that live in the past,
It is the future we do not see.
We spend the present wishing for that day we missed.
The future will bring nothing but a repeat of that time.
In the present we sit, doomed to wait.
If only we could change the past we could regain our lives.
But we are stuck here today,
Looking back at yesterday,
And blind to tomorrow.
Woe Of The Hero
March 15th, 2009 by KatanyaDon’t recognize me for what I do;
Let me stand here and applaud, and recognize you.
Don’t praise me for what I did;
I could never get some of the things you’ve been amid.
Don’t award me for what I’ve done;
If I’d been where you’ve been, I think I would have run.I’m really not that great.
I just do what I am told.
If you’re looking for a hero, I’m afraid you’ll have to wait.
I’m sure your good deeds outweigh mine manyfold.
So keep that medal in your hand;
The work you’ve done is far more grand.
Let me stand before you and salute,
Then turn my back until the cheers mute.
For tomorrow my acts will fade away;
Another hero will rise some other day.
Forget me now, for I’ve done nothing.
Save your praise for one more deserving.
Peace and quiet is all I ask,
Until called upon for my next task.
This is not a hero that you see;
Just a person to let be.
Lover’s Embrace
March 15th, 2009 by KatanyaWrap me in your arms
Hold me close to your heart
Warm me with your smile
Tell me we’ll never part
Comfort me with your kiss
Show me this is where we start
Capture me with your love
And we’ll never partThis poem was written as a trade with Painted Paws; she drew me a wonderful picture of my fursona, and in return I wrote this poem for a picture she was working on for her and her mate’s anniversary.
Come To Me
March 15th, 2009 by KatanyaCome to me
Let us play
I aim to please
Do what you like
Handsome you say
Don’t let this shell fool you
I can be your toy
Content to do your bidding
Just don’t ruffle my fur
For you will be that which I destroy
Come to me now
Put me on your leash
I’ll be a good boy
Let me lay at your feet
A happy little concubine
Until Jotun is releasedThis poem was a collaboration with AMS; written for this wonderful picture AMS.
My Love Sanaora
March 15th, 2009 by KatanyaSanaora my love,
You are a gift sent from the heavens above.
Since the very first time that we met,
I knew that my destiny was set.
Where should I start?
How do I tell you what’s in my heart?
Each time I look at you I feel I should look away,
For even my elven eyes should not be caught in an angel’s ray.
When I am around you I feel I can do no wrong;
When I hold you in my arms I feel so strong.
There has never been anyone else for me;
When I look to my future you’re all I see.
Sanaora my dear,
Let me make myself clear.
You were the first woman to find her way to my soul.
If I had to live without you I would never feel whole.
I must have you in my life.
Sanaora I want you to be my wife.
I’m down on my knee;
Sanaora, will you marry me?This poem was a request for Beanbean Dipdip, a guildmate on EverQuest.
Teach Me
March 15th, 2009 by KatanyaTeach me
I want to learn
It’s for your knowledge
That I yearn
To see as you see
And do as you do
This is my quest
I want to learn from you
Teach me
So that I may grow
Teach me
So that I may know
For in knowledge
There is power
As I age
Let this flower
Counting Love
March 15th, 2009 by Katanya“How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways.”That’s already been said. That’s already been done.
How do I tell you how it’s grown?
Are there numbers enough for a love like that to be shown?
There is no rhyme or reason;
No change because of a given season.
The love I have for you will always grow.
The bounds of such passions I will never know.
You could sooner count the stars in the sky,
Than measure the twinkle of love in my eye.
Think all you may and count all night,
But there is no end of my love in sight.
Leave Me Alone
March 15th, 2009 by KatanyaYou all whimper and sigh
And say you’ll miss me if I’m gone
Nothing but false concern
And fear in your eyes
Always asking what’s wrong
Never trying to find out
Ready to offer a hug
But never willing to cry
Leave me alone
Since that’s how you make me feel
Leave me alone
Since you can’t help me heal
